Extra pillows, towels, duvets?

Available in our Citybox Host Office.

Extra bed or baby cot?

Available on request from our Citybox Host Office (extra beds are only possible in our twin— and double standard room categories).

Hair dryer?

Installed in all our bathrooms.


There is a kettle in the comunity kitchen and you can borrow a kettle from the host Office for your entire stay. Free of charge!

Check-in & check-out time?

Check-in is from 15:00, and check-out time is 12:00 at the latest. You can store luggage with us outside of these hours, in our luggage room in the lobby, free of charge.


You can store luggage with us in our luggage room, free of charge. Luggage is stored at your own responsibility.

Breakfast? Lunch? Dinner?

Unfortunately we do not have a restaurant, but our partner “Kafé Nedre Nygaard” offers a nice breakfast buffet every day, from 7:30 until 10:30.

Nedre Nygaard re-opens for a light dinner and drinks at 15:00.

Please note that breakfast is not included in the room rate.


Unfortunately we do not have any TVs besides the ones located in our lobby. However, we have upgraded our wifi so that you should be able to stream whatever you prefer on your own device.

Door does not lock?

All of our doors lock automatically as long as they are properly closed. There is a delay of about 30 seconds before the automatic lock activates. Even though the door is always possible to open from the inside, it is still locked from the outside. Our Citybox Host can come along and check if you feel uncertain about the door being locked.

Is the tap water safe to drink?

Yes, it even tastes great!

Our Host Office is open 24 hours! If you need anything, don’t hesitate to contact us via our office on the first floor.

I need to exchange money!

Unfortunately we are not able to do currency exchange. We recommend the Bergen Tourist Information Center.


Where can I park?

Street parking is available only at night time (23—08) and weekends (Sat 17—Mon 08).

The nearest parking garage is Grieg Park. Prices start at NOK 230,- per day. Alternatively you can park at Bygarasjen (approx. 400m from the hotel), price is about NOK 150,- per day.


Where is Citybox Danmarksplass?

Our new sister hotel opened at Danmarksplass in May 2019.
The address is Solheimsgaten 23.
